Sasha Banks will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania

The WWE Universe was thrilled when Bianca Belair won the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble match. She eventually decided to face Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 37.

The prospect of two of the top female superstars in WWE facing off for the first time on the grandest stage of them all was a mouth-watering prospect.

The match and storyline wrote itself. A first-time ever match between the SmackDown Women's Champion and the Royal Rumble winner, there really wasn't much more that WWE needed to add to it.

Unfortunately, WWE decided to center the feud around people who aren't even in the match. In recent weeks on Friday Night SmackDown, WWE has continued to involve Reginald and the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

Carmella's former sommelier had become increasingly interested in the SmackDown Women's Champion before he was fired by Carmella. Since then, Reginald has aligned himself with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on WWE television.

With Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair forming a tag team of sorts on SmackDown, the duo unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships at Fastlane. Reginald once again played into the events.

Hopefully, now that Fastlane is said and done, the main focus of the Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair WrestleMania storyline can be the competitors in the match, instead of Reginald, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
