Shawn Michaels may have been the biggest WWE star in the mid-90's. However, he was entering a very different WWE in 2002. Michaels may have been coming back as a reformed man, who should be idolised by everyone, but whether or not he was the same Heart Break Kid was always in doubt.

He entered into a rivalry with Triple H the second he returned after The Game turned on his best friend. This led to an amazing feud, which spanned almost two years. Their first encounter was in an unsanctioned fight at SummerSlam 2002, and their final singles bout came at Badd Blood in 2004.

This feud was key in re-establishing Michaels as the performer that he was. To be honest, it did him one better and established himself as a much better performer than what he used to be. Michaels enjoyed a long run after that, finally calling time on his legendary career in 2010.
