John Cena became a star on the basis of a groundswell of support for him. However hard it may be to believe today, Cena was one of the biggest stars in the mid-2000's and management took a while to see him as a star. However, after he was pushed into the championship scene, fans began to turn on him.

Triple H refused to take Cena's abilities seriously and pointed out his lack of skill to get the job done at every point. However, this all changed after the pair met at WrestleMania 22.
Triple H and John Cena put on a wonderful match which proved to the growing numbers of Cena abusers that the man can wrestle. Along with that, Cena also got the biggest win of his career, beating one of the biggest stars in the company clean on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
