He may be the poster boy for kids all around the world, but John Cena will always be known as the Doctor of Thuganamics. Cena first debuted the rapper gimmick on Smackdown Live dressed up as Vanilla Ice.
It was just the beginning as the gimmick would multiply his popularity amongst the fans. His perfectly rhymed promos oozing with attitude helped him get over with the fans. There have been numerous victims to John Cena's freestyle rap but there are few people who did not back down from challenging The Cenation Leader in his own style.
#5 Kenzo Suzuki
Kenzo Suzuki is a Japanese professional wrestler who worked for WWE during 2004-2005 with many forgetting that he briefly feuded with John Cena for the United States championship.
On January 6th, 2005 edition of Smackdown, Kenzo Suzuki challenged John Cena in a rap battle. He was accompanied by Hiroko. Apparently, his effort was courageous but a stupid one as a remorseless Cena destroyed him as well as his valet Hiroko on the mic. Not only did he lose the battle but also the United States championship match in the process.

#4 The World's Largest Rapper
Big Show has been one of John Cena's arch rival. The two WWE veterans have had countless face-offs throughout the years. However, December 11, 2003, was a different day.
John Cena and Big Show were in the ring but the setup was entertainingly different. Show mimicked John Cena's ring gear by dressing up as a hipster-cum-rapper. Here's an excerpt from Show's slick rhymes:
"Yo dude. I done punked you all over town.
Whatcha gonna do, I'm 500 pounds"
Although the giant did land a few shots, he still could not prove to be a match for the Doctor of Thugonomics.
#4 Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman is inarguably one of the best talkers in WWE. When he speaks, you have no option but to listen. Everything he does on the mic is graceful. So when Heyman takes the microphone and is about to spit some bars, you are in for a treat.
On the August 11th, 2014 edition of Raw, Heyman decided to call out John Cena in his own style. Unlike others, the advocate of the Beast Incarnate didn't dress up as a wannabe rapper and fittingly, rapped with unmatched class.
Everything that Heyman said turned out to be true as Lesnar absolutely manhandled the 16-time World Champion at Summerslam 2014 to claim the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
#2 Brian Kendrick
On May 1st, 2003, Spanky aka Brian Kendrick interrupted a promo by John Cena. As both had similar gimmicks, a rap battle was well and truly on the cards.
Spanky was all fired up for a freestyle but was left with no beat to rap on. Referee Brian Hebner stepped in as the makeshift beatboxer for the night.
If Hebner's beatboxing skills weren't surprising enough for Cena, Kenrick's rap left Cena speechless. The Cenation Leader clearly didn't have an answer to the surprisingly well-oiled combination of Spanky and Hebner. Cena beat the living daylights out of Kendrick to close the segment for all his troubles.
#1 Kurt Angle
it seems that there is nothing Kurt Angle can't do. From outclassing the best of the technical wrestlers while being thoroughly entertaining as a character; Angle is a special talent.
As a matter of fact, the Olympic Gold medalist could rap like a boss too.
Cena and Kurt Angle had a battle on two different occasions, one on 10th September 2003, and the other on 9th October 2003. Despite not being known for his rapping skills, Angle held his ground each time. If the battles were not enough, Kurt Angle mocked Cena again on the 16th October 2003 episode while also decking himself up as Cena. Angle had another ace up his sleeve as a midget dressed up as Angle put him in the ankle lock.
The good old days!
