The Money In The Bank pay-per-view drew a mixed set of reactions from the crowd, with many of the fans disappointed with the way that it eventually ended. It did really stir up things though and pushed the ratings higher for the WWE, which must have been a relief for the company with the way that things have been going on in recent times.

There were some great matches in the show, though the WWE needed to keep the buzz going to compete with its current fierce rivals like All Elite Wrestling (AEW). With that being said, the company introduced the 24/7 Championship belt and tried to keep the fans on their toes with this concept.

It was a title that could be defended just anywhere and anytime, as long as there was a referee around. Titus O’Neil was made the first ever champ, followed by a few other names that deserved to win a title. Eventually, it was R-Truth who got hold of the title, as he rushed through the audiences to save himself and retain it.

He has been on the run ever since, barely holding on. He has lost and won it again against Elias and Jinder Mahal already. His run as champion could soon end, and here are five superstars, who might actually beat him for it and get a long run with the belt.

#5 Apollo Crews

Floating constantly in the WWE’s mid-card for quite a few years, it is high time that Apollo Crews got some sort of a solid push as a serious competitor. He has done quite enough to deserve a title-run, at least with the 24-7 Championship, and he could be one of the individuals that could beat R-Truth. However, knowing Crews’ character on the show, he would want to do it the right way and not let go of the support of the WWE Universe that has constantly kept him going.

#4 Sami Zayn

Similar to Elias, a great heel deserves a title to show that he is really getting the backing of the management and the company in terms of his character. Sami Zayn has been fighting hard to get the attention that he deserves from the writers and the management for quite some time now, though unlike Kevin Owens, he has nothing much to show for it.

His “best friend” has won title after title, while Zayn has struggled to find substance in the company and lived more or less in his shadow. It is high time that the Canadian wrestler finally explores his full potential and a championship run like this can also give a new edge to his character.

He has already created controversy in his recent “Electric Chair” segment with Corey Graves, where he mentioned AEW. It went viral and this could be the perfect time to take advantage of it with a potentially controversial title run. Whether that happens or not, only time will tell.

#3 Cesaro

Cesar is one athlete who has given his all for the company and has worked from a single’s competitor, to a very successful tag-team with Sheamus, back to going at it all alone. He has been a hard-working superstar, though he hasn’t received too many accolades to show for it, and the fans have always appreciated and supported him over the years.

Keeping that in mind, it is high time that the “Swiss Superman” gets what he deserves and adds more individual titles to his name. There is no doubting the fact that he surely deserves more and the Universe has been waiting for the company to give him a solo push for quite some time now.

Hopefully, Vince and Triple H can see that potential in him and at least give him a taste of the 24/7 title, which can really boost his morale and makes him want to achieve more in the long-run.

#2 Robert Roode

Bobby Roode, aka Robert Roode, aka “The Glorious One”, has tried it all in the WWE and unlike his former company (Impact Wrestling), things haven’t really worked out for him so far. He has won a couple of titles, including the 24/7 Championship, though the runs have never really lasted. Since his move to the main roster from NXT, he has been getting poor storylines and his character has been really mishandled on multiple occasions, with no possible direction.

It is quite clear that the WWE writers have literally no idea of what to do with him, due to which he has not been doing anything meaningful in recent times, and hopefully all these things changes. A second 24/7 Championship win could do the trick for him and bring him to prominence yet again if he is able to hold on to it for a few weeks at least. Hopefully, WWE utilizes him right this time, with AEW pulling as many individuals from their roster on its ship as possible already.

#1 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt

The Firefly Fun House is one of the creepiest segments of all time that WWE has employed to get the attention of the audiences. It possibly seems to be an extension of Bray Wyatt’s “The Eater of Worlds” persona, and things have gone even crazier in recent times, with the Internet talking about it.

Not a lot of fans believe that Wyatt’s push might be reduced to the 24/7 Championship. However, his heel character deserves a push and what better way than to emphasize his return with a title run.

On the other hand, if Bray still possesses the ability to disappear at random instances as he did before, he might be the perfect superstar to evade the locker room in order to have a long 24/7 title run and only one of the few capable of doing so. Let’s see if the WWE writers have something similar on their minds as well and whether they follow through or not.
