I think it's safe to say that Scott Steiner is a divisive figure in the world of professional wrestling. He is undoubtedly one of the great professional wrestlers in history, first with his exceptional tag team run with his brother Rick, followed by an image overhaul that brought him singles success.
But, no matter how much in-ring success Steiner has achieved during his time, it seems like he will be remembered more for his controversies away from the squared circle. This is where the division of opinion comes into play.
While some people love Big Poppa Pump for his brash attitude and penchant for saying whatever he wants, there are others who are very much turned off by it.
So, without any further ado, here is our list of 5 wrestlers who have some serious problems with Scott Steiner:
#5 Ric Flair
It's safe to say that there is little love lost between Ric Flair and Scott Steiner with the latter having accused the former of trying to sabotage Big Poppa Pump's career during the early days of WCW.
Steiner did not hold back in proclaiming that The Nature Boy was a backstabber who always tried to tear down the nWo and instead politicked backstage to have The Four Horsemen pushed instead.
Their animosity was renewed when Steiner joined the WWE in the noughties where the 16-time World Champion was a key figure.
#4) Shawn Michaels
Scott Steiner and Shawn Michaels seem to have always hated each other since their initial run together in the WWE in the early 1990s. Steiner has repeatedly insulted Michaels as being a fake tough guy and being feminine and things only got worse when the two returned to the WWE in 2002.
It seems like this could also be tied to the fact that Micheals is best friends with Triple H. Whatever the case, there is some real heat here.
#3) Diamond Dallas Page
This one hits close to home as there have been allegations that Scott Steiner threatened Diamond Dallas Page's wife, Kimberly, backstage during their time together in WCW. Things didn't stop there, though. Oh no.
Witnesses claim that Steiner beat up DDP when confronted about it and the yoga master has held a grudge against Big Poppa Pump ever since.
#2) Eric Bischoff
When Scott Steiner was making a name for himself in WCW, his boss used to be one Mr Eric Bischoff. As you would expect with Steiner and anyone in a position of power, the two rarely got along. While things stayed steady during their time working together, that is most certainly not the case these days.
Steiner regularly likes to rant about what a piece of garbage Bischoff is and how it was all the former Raw GM's fault that WCW was run into the ground. In addition to all this are the Twitter rants Big Poppa Pump loves to go on every now and then.
#1) Hulk Hogan
Scott Steiner and Hulk Hogan rarely saw eye to eye during their time together as professional wrestlers but things got out of hand during a random meeting at an airport which turned into quite the incident.
Steiner is said to have told Hogan's wife, Jennifer, that he would attack The Hulkster if he ever saw him again, and this led to the police being involved in the whole matter. Hogan apparently tried to have Steiner arrested on charges of assault and this eventually led to Big Poppa Pump getting banned from the WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony.
