5 wrestlers who may be the last ones standing at Royal Rumble 2018

Royal Rumble, one of the vastly anticipated events of the year, is just two days away. One of the premier shows in WWE, Royal Rumble has rarely failed to deliver and is always the perfect spot to commence the WrestleMania season.

A lot of speculations about the winner of this match are floating around, but nothing can be said for sure. A Roman-Lesnar match-up is being speculated since even before the last WrestleMania ended, so a Roman Reigns win will hardly be surprising.

We try and predict the last five men standing in the Royal Rumble 2018, and also who could end up winning!

#5 The Miz

Miz is a true workhorse!
Miz is a true workhorse

One of the workhorses of WWE, Miz has featured in almost every Rumble match since his debut in 2006, and has proven to be a capable iron-man. The former World Champion recently returned to Monday Night RAW and captured the Intercontinental Championship for a mind boggling 8th time.

The talks of Miz being given a monster push leading into WrestleMania season are in full flow, and given the nature of his win against Roman Reigns, one can fully expect the A-Lister to have a great Rumble showing.

Miz deserves to be a main-eventer once again, but it might not be possible on a stacked Monday Night RAW.

#4 Roman Reigns

Its the Big Dog's yard
Will the Rumble end up being The Big Dog's yard again?

Royal Rumble has been synonymous with The Big Dog for the last few years. A monstrous performance in 2014, a tainted victory in 2015, a title defence in 2016, and a No.30 shocker in 2017. Reigns has made sure every Rumble has ended with him being the talk of the town.

Hence, given his history, it would be hardly surprising to see the three-time World Champion give yet another great performance and end up among the final superstars. Reigns may as well end up being the winner, given his rumoured match for the Universal title.

But an Elimination Chamber match for the RAW brand this time, could mean a SmackDown Live winner at the Rumble.

Only one thing is for sure, though. Reigns will be booed heavily in Philly!

#3 Finn Balor

Could this be the sight at Wrestlemania 34?
Could this be the sight at Wrestlemania 34?

Another superstar whose booking quality has increased several notches in the past few weeks, Balor is a heavy favorite to win the Rumble. He still has a Universal Championship rematch pending, or he could also go on to challenge AJ Styles at WrestleMania.

Balor's recent alliance with Gallows and Anderson has fueled the rumours of him switching to SmackDown to face the former leader of the Club, AJ Styles. Balor's inconsistent booking over the past summer has not made a single soul happy, and hence, a strong showing in the Rumble could help matters tremendously.

The Balor Club is in full flow, and it will be 'too sweet' to see him shine in the Rumble match.

#2 Shinsuke Nakamura

The Artist Known as Shinsuke Nakamura

Were you expecting him to be No.1 in the list? Don't blame yourself. Ever since Nakamura moved to SmackDown last April, a match between the King of Strong Style and the Phenomenal One has been talked about in the wrestling community.

Nakamura, could well be the winner of the Rumble, but his booking throughout the year has been woeful. AJ vs Nakamura could be a five-star classic, but the buildup to it might not be as impactful, due to WWE relegating Nakamura to a lower status.

Nakamura vs Styles should happen in WWE one day, but WM 34 might not be that day.

#1 Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan v AJ Styles. YES! YES! YES!
Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles? YES! YES! YES!

Our prediction for the final survivor, and also the Number 30 entrant of Rumble, Daniel Bryan! One of the most shocking names in the list perhaps, Bryan's chances of winning the Rumble are slim at best, though changes in recent betting odds state otherwise. However, recent altercations with superstars like Miz and Styles have made Bryan seem like a contender.

Bryan entering at No.30 to one of the biggest pops in wrestling history, eliminating his long-time nemesis The Miz, and winning the Rumble, will be a major breakthrough in professional wrestling.

A Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles match at WrestleMania will make the crowd go nuts!
