Five WWE couples who met before joining the company

#2. WWE Superstars Sasha Banks and Sarath Ton

Sasha Banks and her husband Sarath Ton (F.K.A. Mikaze) met while competing on the independent circuit a few years before they joined WWE. The couple even shared the ring during a Fatal Four-Way Match at a Beyond Wrestling event in 2012.

In an interview with Charly Caruso a few years ago, the former SmackDown Women's Champion spoke about her first date with Ton.

"This (Pho Mai restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts) is the first place my husband took me to on our date (...) his nose was running and I was like 'oh my god, your nose is running' because the soup was so hot. And I think I had like a hair on my chest, and he grabbed it and I was like 'dude, you are a little too forward. I don't know what I feel about you' and he was like 'I'm sorry, I'm just so nervous'. But now we are here and married so all worked out," Banks said.

In August 2012, Banks signed with WWE and debuted on NXT in December. Ton also joined the company three years later. The Boss has become one of the top female superstars in WWE. However, Ton competed in only one match on NXT, in which he suffered a career-threatening injury.
