The whole of 2016 was taken over by Paige and Del Rio's relationship

Charlotte Flair and Alberto Del Rio reportedly started a relationship when he returned to WWE back in October 2015. The couple's relationship was brief and he then moved on to a very public relationship with Charlotte's friend Paige.

This became an entire saga between the two women but Charlotte was able to continue working for WWE throughout this time whilst Del Rio was also contracted to the company since he wasn't released until the following year when he requested his contract be terminated.

Charlotte has since moved on to a relationship with fellow SmackDown superstar Andrade and judging by their pictures online they seem to be rather happy together. Del Rio recently made it clear that he wanted to return to WWE but it was made clear that this was no longer an option for the former World Champion.
