In 2019, there is certainly no shortage of WWE programming.

Whilst years ago we just had RAW, SmackDown and pay per views, now we have shows like 205 Live, Main Event, NXT, NXT UK, the Mixed Match Challenge and the Mae Young Classic.

With so much content, it's difficult to keep track of it all, and it's even tougher to notice the tiny details and reference s that are sprinkled across WWE programming.

Fortunately, some fans were able to spot some hidden Easter eggs that many other fans will sadly have missed when watching shows like WrestleMania

Here are five hidden WWE Easter eggs that only the most hardcore, most dedicated fans were able to spot.

#5 The New Day's Mascot

The New Day's mascot 'Mr Bootyworth' was played by none other than Dewey Foley, the son of Mick Foley and brother of Noelle.
The New Day's mascot 'Mr Bootyworth' was played by none other than Dewey Foley, the son of Mick Foley and brother of Noelle.

The New Day have been one of WWE's most popular stables of all time, as well as one of their most successful.

The longest reigning Tag Team Champions of all time, the pair have entertained in and out of the ring, though one moment that fell flat was Mr Bootyworth.

When the team of Kofi, Big E, and Xavier tried to introduce him, the trio were thwarted by the Bar.

The fun secret here is that Bootyworth was played by Dewey Foley, the son of Hall of Famer Mick Foley, who is mentioned in the Hardcore Legend's infamous 'Cane Dewey' promo during his time in the original ECW.

Dewey currently works as an assistant backstage, and hopes to one day become a full-time writer, though it was still a fun Easter egg that only the most in-the-know fans spotted

#4 Bryan and Ziggler's name in-joke

Ziggler made a reference to Bryan's name being changed during the original reality-show era of NXT.

It wasn't until recently that WWE allowed stars to use the names that had made them famous outside of the company.

Whilst Claudio Castagnoli became Cesaro and El Generico became Sami Zayn, stars like Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles have all been allowed to keep their old names.

One Superstar who wasn't so lucky was Daniel Bryan, something that was referenced by Dolph Ziggler on the original NXT.

Referring to Bryan as 'Daniel Bryson', a play on his real name Bryan Danielson, the joke between the two future World Champions were lost on many fans, who had never seen or heard of Bryan before he joined the WWE in early 2010.

Interestingly, the WWE gave Bryan a list of proposed names, none of which included his actual name.

#3 The curse of Flair's trunks

Ric Flair often came up on the losing end when he wore Red.
Ric Flair often came up on the losing end when he wore Red.

Ric Flair is considered one of the greatest ever and rightly so, a 16-time World Champion, Flair is a two time inductee into the Hall of Fame, a triple crown winner and Royal Rumble winner (1992).

But despite his success, Flair has often come up short in his career, especially when he's worn red.

One example of this includes when he wore red and lost the WWF Championship to Macho Man Randy Savage at WrestleMania 8, and would also wear red when he lost to The Undertaker at the same event a decade later.

Whilst Flair would often wear blue for his big wins, it is ironic that the Nature Boy wore blue for his WrestleMania 24 retirement match against Shawn Michaels, who would be retired himself two years later by the Phenom.

#2 Jillian Hall's bad singing career

Jillian Hall is best remembered for her awful singing, despite being a solid grappler.
Jillian Hall is best remembered for her awful singing, despite being a solid grappler.

Despite being a solid hand in the ring, Jillian Hall's time on the main roster wasn't much, with her biggest accolade being winning the Diva's title for minutes in 2010.

Outside of her brief title flutter, Hall is perhaps best remembered for her pop-diva character, who believed she could sing, much to the horror of the fans who could hear her.

Whilst many thought this was a parody of Britney Spears, Hall's character was reportedly a rib on Brooke Hogan, the daughter of Hulk Hogan who had failed to make it as a singer despite multiple opportunities.

The WWE still had beef with the Hulkster after his abrupt departure in 2006, and found making fun of the former World Champion's daughter as vengeance, though some would argue, very petty.

#1 Triple H's WrestleMania patches

The Game wore a jacket full of references, though it didn't help him at WrestleMania 34.

When Triple H entered at WrestleMania 34, The Game certainly made an entrance alongside his wife Stephanie, before their match against Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey.

Arriving on massive motorbikes, the entrance was a worthy fit for the King of Kings, though many may have noticed the smaller details.

On The Game's jacket, there were a variety of patches that alluded to some of his passions, including one for NXT, the brand he has built to become in many fans opinions' the best thing in the WWE today.

There was also a patch for Motorhead, the legendary rock band that the Cerebral Assassin is a huge fan of, and have provided The Game with his iconic theme song, as well as previous themes such as 'King of Kings' and Line In the Sand.
