Dave Batista is a legend in the WWE. The promotion announced his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year before removing him from the list.
The former World Heavyweight Champion addressed his absence in a tweet:
"To the @WWEUniverse Unfortunately due to previous obligations I am unable to be a part of the @WWE #HOF this year. By my request, they have agreed to induct me at a future ceremony where I’ll be able to properly thank the fans and people who made my career possible."
Batista is a guaranteed future Hall of Famer. He is a six-time World Champion, four-time Tag Team Champion and a two-time Royal Rumble winner. His cousin Jay Batista is nowhere near The Animal's status.
Jay Batista is a former wrestler who started his professional wrestling career in 2008. Jay revealed his relationship with Dave and whether the former WWE Superstar helped him get into the wrestling business in an interview with Squared Circle News:
"I am his first cousin. No, Dave did not help me get into the business. I want to earn my own way."
Jay Batista won the Eastern State Heavyweight Championship, FCWA Heavyweight Championship and the NWA Carolina Heavyweight Championship during his wrestling career.
