WWE No Mercy 2017: 5 Things that should NOT happen

no mercy should not happen
The spooky guy of WWE wants a man-to-man match. Seems legit.

On paper, No Mercy honestly looks like a pretty good pay-per-view event and it could end up being enjoyable, but that will require a lot of work.

All of the superstars in the ring need to give it everything they have. The matches need to have a good pace and clean finishes to be believable. Oh, and WWE needs to make sure not to let any of the following things happen or they will certainly take it down a notch.

#5 Enzo Amore should not win the WWE Cruiserweight Title

enzo amore no mercy should not happen
He's been in the Cruiserweight Division for a month...no. Just....no.

There are so many reasons that Neville needs to retain his title on Sunday, and his opponent is the biggest of them all.

Enzo Amore has just hit the cruiserweight division and it is nowhere near his time to capture a championship yet. This is without mentioning the fact that he is not as deserving as many others who are on the roster.

Apart from that, Enzo has been made to look like a complete chump ever since his split from Big Cass and the last thing the cruiserweight division needs is a champion who is thrown around like a rag doll.

#4 John Cena should not be Superman

no mercy should not happen john cena roman reigns
If WWE really wants to elevate Reigns, Super Cena needs to stop here.

Roman Reigns defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania. He's still being pushed past the moon by WWE, and if they're going to want to keep his momentum going, a win over John Cena is just what he needs.

Cena is going to take some time off from wrestling soon to work on the next Transformers movie and a host of other projects. He needs a victory in the ring like he needs a hole in his head and it makes no sense for him to pick up such a big win when he's just being taken off television soon.

If this is going to elevate Reigns even more, WWE can't have Cena kicking out of the Superman Punch and the Spear with a full recovery in mere seconds.

#3 Bayley should not win the Raw Women's Championship

no mercy should not happen bayley
Bayley needs more than a title to get back into the spotlight.

Bayley's big return this week on Monday Night Raw was a great surprise and she received a huge pop from the crowd. After losing her momentum earlier this year, she slowly started to get it back before an injury took her out commission again and shot everything back to zero. However, a title win at this point of time wouldn't be the right creative decision.

This Raw Women's Championship match went from a one-on-one to a Fatal 5-Way in no time at all. That was done to keep Alexa Bliss or Nia Jax from having to lose and fall down the ladder, but it also likely means that the champion will retain.

Even if Bliss doesn't keep her title, Bayley is not the one to take it from her right now.

#4 Bray Wyatt should not defeat Finn Balor clean

bray wyatt finn balor no mercy should not happen
Finn Balor losing is not what needs to happen...not to this stage of Bray Wyatt.

After winning the WWE Championship earlier this year, Bray Wyatt's momentum completely disappeared. After that, he was moved over to Raw and completely separated from the remainder of The Wyatt Family and left to fend for himself. It has now become obvious that something is just terribly wrong and feeding Finn Balor to him is not the remedy.

Wyatt is one of those guys who begs and pleads for the strange and unknown, but he wants to fight Balor man-to-man? That makes absolutely no sense after being dominated by "The Demon" last month and it will do nothing for him to pick up a victory here.

If Wyatt does win in a clean fashion, it's only going to hurt Balor and not do anyone any favours.

#1 Asuka should not debut on the WWE main roster

asuka no mercy should not happen
Asuka has done more than enough to deserve a bigger debut than an injury interview.

After more than 500 days as the NXT Women's Champion and an undefeated streak in NXT, Asuka is heading to the main roster. Her collarbone injury at the last NXT: Takeover Brooklyn pretty much sealed the end of her time in NXT, but No Mercy is not the time for her to make her debut.

When the injury occurred, it signalled the end of Asuka's run through NXT as she relinquished the NXT Women's championship. It's only a matter of time until she debuts on the main roster, and WWE has already run a series of vignettes to show she will be a member of Team Red but, again, it's not yet time.

While Asuka has been appearing with some of the women of SmackDown Live at recent live events, she hasn't appeared on television yet. WWE cannot waste her official main roster debut by having her do an interview at No Mercy.

Let that massive pop take place when it is least expected and means something.
