Rhea Ripley to penalize Dominik Mysterio following title loss at NXT No Mercy 2023? The Judgment Day is not at all pleased
About NXT No Mercy
WWE No Mercy or NXT No Mercy is a pro wrestling live-stream event produced by WWE. The 2023 edition of the event was the 14th in the event chronology and the first to be held since 2017. Also, this was the first time No Mercy has been restricted to NXT, as the No Mercy will be an NXT-exclusive event.
The 2023 edition took place on Saturday, September 30, at Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California. As the event was NXT-branded, it did not feature on Pay-Per-View and was instead streamed directly to Peacock TV in the USA and other affiliates in respective countries.
History of No Mercy
WWE No Mercy was first held back in 1999. It took place on May 16 of that year in Manchester, England of the United Kingdom. Since then, No Mercy has only been held in the USA. The second event took place just six months after the first event and was such a success that WWE made it into an annual PPV event. The show kept being held annually up until 2008. No Mercy was quietly dropped after 2008 and was replaced by Hell In A Cell the next year. The event was brought back in 2016, and that too, in its October timeslot in 2016 and was made exclusive to the wrestlers of SmackDown. It was then made exclusive to the RAW wrestlers in 2017. After the event, it was dropped yet again before being brought back in 2023. This time, the event was made exclusive to NXT, the developmental brand or the third brand of WWE.
