#4. The 434 - Longest WWE Championship reign in the modern era
Whether you want to admit it or not, CM Punk's WWE Championship reign was outstanding, despite the fact that a lot of his matches were relegated to the upper mid-card spots. His heel turn was impeccable and his promo wars against The Rock were savage. However, the Straight Edge superstar did not part ways with WWE on good terms, leaving the company after the 2014 Royal Rumble for various reasons.
Now, WWE is adamant on removing his name from their record books. The most prominent record of the Second City Saint is his 434 day WWE Championship reign - which is the longest such reign in the modern era. Even though Brock Lesnar surpassed that record as Universal Champion, Punks is still the longest reigning "WWE" Champion of the Modern Era.
However, current WWE champion - AJ Styles, who is in his second reign as champion is close behind Punk. Styles has carried the belt for around a year now and it won't be long before The Phenomenal One breaks Punk's brilliant record.
