#4: Road-Dogg steps down
Though he may not have been a main eventer like The Rock or 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, 'Road Dogg' Jesse James was one of the most tenured stars of the Attitude Era.
With his knowledge of in-ring psychology and charisma on the mic, James has transitioned nicely to a backstage role in WWE as the head creative writer on SmackDown.
This week though, the newly-inducted Hall of Famer stepped down from his position, reportedly because he was frustrated with the long working hours and butting heads with Vince McMahon, according to the Wrestling Observer.
In a week which has seen plenty of backstage fallout (though we'll get to that later), news like this is the last thing WWE wants fans to hear.
It'll be interesting to see where SmackDown goes from here, just six months before their move to FOX.
