Roode and Ziggler may be the next RAW Tag Team Champions.

Since being called up to the main roster in 2017, things have been interesting, to say the least for Robert Roode.

Despite being a former United States, 24/7 and RAW Tag Team Champion, Roode has done very little on the main roster, especially over the past year.

This is a far cry from Roode's time in NXT, where he was one of the brand's top stars, as well as a former NXT Champion.

Last week though, the Glorious One got a huge victory on Monday Night RAW, teaming with Dolph Ziggler to become the number one contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles.

Defeating four teams in a RAW, Roode and Ziggler will face Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions, and the Canadian reportedly has support backstage.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roode's new push is down to RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman, who is said to be a big fan of the former TNA star and wanted to give him something.

That something may be the RAW Tag Team Titles, which Roode and Ziggler will challenge for on September 15.
