No one expected to see WWE Superstar Edge wrestle in a WWE ring after the Rated-R Superstar announced his retirement in 2011. Yet, he was able to make a miraculous comeback last year.
But the Royal Rumble wasn't the first time when Edge made a triumphant return to WWE. In fact, seeds of his comeback were planted back in August 2019. During the SummerSlam 2019 kick-off show, WWE Superstar Elias decided to sing a song.

But before the Drifter could wrap up his song, he was interrupted by Edge. The 11-time World Champion kept things short and sweet and hit Elias with a spear. This was his first spear in over eight years. Not only that, but this segment also prompted the wrestling community to start talking about Edge's "potential" in-ring return.
Despite WWE SummerSlam 2019 being an eventful pay-per-view, Edge and Elias' segment emerged as one of the most talked-about parts of the night. It will be interesting to see if Edge and Elias ever get to share the same ring again.

His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
