Why would WWE leave Shayna Baszler off of SummerSlam?

Shayna Baszler showed up on RAW Underground this week and while the move was an interesting idea, it leaves her with little hope of making the SummerSlam card. Unless WWE decides to hold an edition of RAW Underground at the upcoming pay-per-view, it is very likely she will miss the show.

If nothing else, Shayna Baszler is not someone that needs to be kept off a pay-per-view right now, especially after taking two losses over the last couple of months. One has to wonder how WWE will turn this around and if the company really has any interest in turning this around for Shayna Baszler.

Now, that's not say WWE is intentionally doing this to ruin Baszler, but what if they just want to keep her building in the mid-card for now? Although that likely means being left off the upcoming SummerSlam 2020 pay-per-view, which is a momentum killer, it does at least save her for a feud down the line on WWE RAW.
