The Undertaker is one of the biggest names WWE has ever produced. Over the years, The Phenom has influenced the lives of many men and women both inside and outside WWE.
The Undertaker retired last year, even though some fans are hoping for him to compete in one final match against their favorite wrestlers. Outside the ring, the man behind the supernatural character is known to be a dog lover.
The Undertaker and his ex-wife, Sara, established the "Zeus Compton Calaway-Save the Animals" Fund at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences to help pay for lifesaving treatments for large-breed dogs. The foundation’s website states the following:
“No pet owner should have to put their beloved animal to sleep because they are unable to pay medical bills. The Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals Fund was established to help pet owners bridge the gap between their ability to pay for lifesaving medical treatment and the costs of the procedure. The Fund, created by Mark and Sara Calaway, was established as a memorial for Zeus, their beloved Mastiff. The Fund provides financial assistance to pet owners who could not otherwise afford lifesaving procedures.”
WWE Superstars have not only shown love for their fans but have done the same for animals over the years. The Undertaker set an example by forming a charity to help save the lives of several animals.
