Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather have both been involved in WWE programming and both put on a fantastic sports entertainment exhibition match over the weekend as the boxing legend failed to knock out the social media star.
I know that a lot of people are willing to criticize professional wrestling for being fake, but there's certainly nothing fake about the skill, precision and athleticism that's needed to make wrestling matches look convincing. And as we saw, whatever it was that Paul and Mayweather charged people for recently was not skill, precision or athleticism.
Now that boxing has entered the world of professional wrestling, let's also have professional wrestling enter the world of boxing and talk about some current WWE Superstars who could quite happily knock Logan Paul out when a legitimate boxing champion like Floyd Mayweather couldn't.
There are plenty of athletes within WWE with legitimate fighting or martial arts training and many of them have a background in MMA and other combat sports, so there are definitely going to be members of the roster who wouldn't struggle to turn the lights out for Paul.
Without further ado, let's take a light-hearted look at five WWE Superstars who could knock out Logan Paul.
#5 Former two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler
Shayna Baszler is currently a long way from the destructive force she once was in WWE, after dominating the NXT for months and completely blowing away a women's Elimination Chamber match. So it's easy to forget that the Queen of Spades is probably one of the toughest and scariest women to ever set foot in a WWE ring given her MMA background and legitimate fighting skills.
I'm confident that had Shayna Baszler been given a big-money match against Logan Paul that she would've knocked the social media star out in minutes, and then would've snapped his arm to add insult to injury.
Or, if she didn't want to knock him out, I'm sure she could use her experience from her thirteen submission wins in MMA to make Paul tap out before he passed out from the pain.
#4 Former WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura came into WWE with quite the reputation for being a tough no-nonsense striker and he quickly displayed to everyone why he'd earned himself the moniker King of Strong Style.
Despite his less than imposing size and stature, Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the meanest and fastest strikers in the industry, and not just in wrestling. Nakamura has even taken part in four Mixed Martial Arts bouts, winning three of them.
Nakamura has an impressive background in martial arts, vale tudo, jiu-jitsu and amateur wrestling and is known for his 'shoot' style of wrestling where instead of pretending to hit people, he just hits them.
There are many Superstars in WWE who have found out the hard way that a match against Shinsuke Nakamura is no joke.
That means that if Logan Paul and Shinsuke Nakamura put on an exhibition fight, that unlike Floyd Mayweather, Shinsuke Nakamura would try to hit and knock out Logan Paul, and given his background, experience and skill, he almost definitely would succeed in doing so.
#3 WWE Champion Bobby Lashley
I don't think I really need to really explain why it is that the current WWE Champion and former MMA athlete Bobby Lashley, who is built the way he is and is as strong as he is, could knockout social media sensation Logan Paul. But let's do it anyway.
Lashley has been in the army and won Gold and Silver for freestyle wrestling in the International Military Sports Council event, which means he was the best wrestler in a competition full of soldiers.
After being shot in the leg, he decided to pursue a career in MMA where he went unbeaten in 16 matches, winning 15 of them and drawing one. He then returned to WWE and eventually became WWE champion. It's a phenomenal record that proves Lashley knows how to fight and how to win.
If you put Bobby Lashley in the squared circle to box Logan Paul then there's no other outcome than Logan Paul getting knocked out. Lashley certainly wouldn't let the match go the distance like Floyd Mayweather did.
#2 WWE giant Omos
As much as the sight of Logan Paul standing across the ring from the giant Omos would be hilarious, seeing one half of the current WWE Raw Tag-Team Champions inevitably knock Logan Paul out with his massive hands would be even funnier.
Sure, Omos doesn't have any fighting or martial arts experience like some of the others on this list with his background consisting of basketball. But if you're trying to convince me that a man who is that tall, with arms the size of the arms that he has can't knock out a man that is the size of Logan Paul, then don't bother.
To be honest, he seems like a really nice guy outside of his kayfabe tall brooding bodyguard/monster role that he's currently playing alongside AJ Styles, particularly with WWE protecting him well and doing all they can to make him look imposing and unstoppable.
But I'm still willing to bet that if he was in a boxing match against Logan Paul that he'd knock him out almost every single time.
#1 WWE Tag-Team Champion Dolph Ziggler
Anyone surprised that Dolph Ziggler is number one on this list of WWE Superstars who could knock out Logan Paul clearly hasn't been paying attention. Ziggler may have an unthreatening name and a less-than tough-guy character in WWE but he's arguably the most accomplished real fighter WWE has on their roster.
Ziggler is an extremely successful amateur wrestler who still holds the high school and college records for the highest number of pins. He also trained as a boxer when he was younger as well.
Ziggler is such a proficient wrestler, with a decent striking game, that it shouldn't be difficult for him to overcome most trained wrestlers, as indeed he did when he was at high school and college, let alone someone with absolutely no training at all like Logan Paul.
For that reason, I'm fairly confident that Nicky from the Spirit Squad could knock out Logan Paul and show Floyd Mayweather how it's done.
