The Bella Twins are WWE Ambassadors

Love them or hate them, you cannot deny the impact The Bella Twins have had in WWE. Nikki Bella was the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion, holding the title for 301 days. Brie Bella is also a former Diva Champion.

The twins played a significant part in WWE's women's division for ten years. They transcended the business and were the main focus of Total Divas, which became so popular they got their own spin-off show, Total Bellas.

Last year on their show Total Bellas, they both announced their retirement from active competition. Most recently, they both welcomed children into the world only one day apart.

Before they had their children, there were plans to bring them back to feud with The IIconics and defeat them for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 35.

The twins would address the plans on the Bellas Podcast and why they had to be canceled :

So Brie and I, we were gonna come back and fight for the tag titles after WrestleMania and we were gonna go against The IIconics for a few months — it was gonna be a lot of fun, really excited and you know, deep down inside, I kept having this weird feeling that I needed to get an X-ray on my neck, because for a while I wasn’t feeling okay. Brie knows, that in December, after Evolution, I just kept telling her, “Brie, I feel off.” Like, my head doesn’t feel right and I just kept feeling off and I even told her, “Do you think I’m just super unhealthy?” But I live a very healthy lifestyle but I couldn’t figure it out.

Nikki has had problems with her neck in the past and had to have surgery in 2016. She returned later that year after ten months of recovery time. Nikki would continue to compete until 2018 before her neck troubles resurfaced and she was forced to retire.

They are still WWE ambassadors and were due to be inducted into the 2020 Hall of Fame.
