Ever since Roman Reigns returned at SummerSlam and won the WWE Universal Championship at Payback a week later, he has dominated SmackDown. The Tribal Cheif pinned Braun Strowman to win the WWE Universal Championship from 'The' Fiend Bray Wyatt in a triple threat match.

Since his return, Reigns has been portraying a more serious, villainous character and now has Paul Heyman as his advocate. Reigns has captured the interest of fans with his current storyline, where he is doing whatever he can to assert his dominance and prove that he is the head of the table in his family, including wearing down his cousin Jey Uso until he recognized him as The Tribal Chief.

The current storyline involving Roman Reigns is one of the most interesting on WWE television for some time. It seems that this angle will be a lengthy one, and it's difficult to envision Roman Reigns dropping the WWE Universal Championship to anybody before the end of January.
