All of this is corrected if Rollins wins back the title either at Battleground or at SummerSlam. It would appear the time off from knee surgery has not affected him in the slightest and he is still the best villain on the company roster.
Rollins needs to continue to chase Ambrose and keep this feud fresh until the company decides what to do with Reigns. Also, another title run helps solidify Rollins as the bad man fans love to hate.
Ultimately, that hatred turns to fandom as he should become a babyface by the end of the year. Rollins is a tweener who can draw heat no matter what role he is in. Conversely, he could definitely cut it as a babyface as well.
