Roman Reigns has often been compared to 16-time World Champion John Cena. There were a lot of similarities in the way that WWE pushed Roman Reigns as their top babyface. Reigns and Cena are two of the most polarizing superstars in recent WWE history.

The two faced off against each other at WWE No Mercy 2017 and it was Roman Reigns who came up victorious in what was a typical "passing of the torch" moment. There were several amazing moments during their feud and fans still remember the promo battle where John Cena destroyed Roman Reigns with his mic skills. However, a one-on-one match between the two should have ideally taken place at a much bigger stage.

The dynamics have completely changed now with Reigns being a massive heel. Cena returning and challenging him for a match at WrestleMania 38 could be epic. To further the stakes, WWE could make this a "title vs. retirement" match. John Cena returning for that record 17th world title while Roman Reigns defending his, what could by then be 500+ days Universal Championship reign.
