Randy Orton is a 13-time World Champion in WWE, but like many other stars in the company, he has had his struggles with injury. Perhaps one of the most unfortunate injuries of Orton's career came back in 2015 when he suffered a dislocated shoulder whilst taking out the trash.

There were not a lot of details concerning the injury when it was first made public, but The Wrestling Observer revealed that the injury had been as a result of Orton taking out the garbage while he was home.
Orton was one of the company's featured performers at this point, but the freak injury meant that he was sidelined from September 2015 until July 2016. At the time, Orton was booked in a feud with The Wyatt Family that was set to continue at Hell in a Cell but was later canceled because of his shoulder injury.
When Orton returned to WWE TV the following year, he was unveiled as Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam opponent and stepped into a completely different storyline. WWE did later visit the feud between Orton and Wyatt in 2017, following his Royal Rumble victory.
