It doesn't look like John Cena is coming back anytime soon.

John Cena competed against 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House match. While it is perfectly possible that this only a write off for now while Cena tackles ventures in Hollywood, his return speech a few months ago on SmackDown points otherwise. In fact, between him saying he didn't know when he would be back and him acknowledging that he should sit out WrestleMania 36, it's obvious that Cena knows his time is done.
