One of the greatest Superstars to have ever come out from the land of the rising sun, there was a lot of hype surrounding Shinsuke Nakamura's debut in the WWE due to the quality work that he had done in New Japan and the unique personality and charisma that he possessed.

Nakamura didn't disappoint, putting on his best WWE match till date in his debut outing against Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover: Dallas during WrestleMania 32 weekend. Nakamura would go on to have a great run in the yellow, winning the NXT Championship twice before moving up to the main roster after WrestleMania 33.

After being put in a feud with Dolph Ziggler, who had become SmackDown's Kassius Ohno at that point, Nakamura would defeat John Cena for an opportunity to face Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship.

Fans felt that finally the WWE was doing something right and getting rid of Mahal as a champion for good, but we couldn't have been more wrong. Nakamura went to lose a series of WWE Championship matches against Mahal before being taken out from the main event for a few months until Royal Rumble 2018 where the King of Strong Style won the Men's Royal Rumble Match and immediately challenged AJ Styles to a match at WrestleMania 34, sending fans into a frenzy.

Many thought WrestleMania would be the place where the company would finally crown Nakamura, one of their biggest signings in recent years, as the WWE Championship. But not only did he lose to Styles, but Nakamura also turned heel on Styles after the match leaving fans stunned.

Nakamura would go on to lose the series of matches against Styles before winning the US title from Jeff Hardy at Extreme Rules. Nakamura is currently feuding with Russev, his first proper singles feud since winning the US Championship back in July. Nakamura's contract is up early next year and we won't be surprised if he decides to go back to New Japan.
