5 WWE Superstars who are grandfathers

Does Stone Cold make the list?

After seeing your favourite professional wrestlers on the TV week in and week out, it’s easy to forget that they are also normal human beings who lead relatively normal lives away from the squared circle and the rigours of the business.

A number of WWE Superstars are actually quite family oriented and enjoy spending time with their loved ones. These loved ones include their spouses, brothers, sisters, kids, and even grandkids. Yes, quite a few WWE Superstars are actually grandparents.

As surprising as that may sound, some of your favourite wrestlers have not only raised their own children but are also spoiling their children’s children to no end by being doting grandparents during their time off.

Some names on this list will be expected, while there are others you would never have guessed. So, without any further do, let’s get into our list of 5 WWE superstars who are grandfathers:

#5 Ric Flair

Ric’s daughter Charlotte has flourished in the WWE

This is one of those expected entries I was talking about. After all, Ric Flair is 68 years old. And, in addition to his relatively older age, The Nature Boy has also had four wives through the years, who have given him four children.

Out of the four children, Charlotte is currently a star in the WWE’s women’s division, and in more tragic circumstances, his son Reid passed away a few years ago. The other two are David Flair and Megan Flair, and it is that last name that gives Ric his status as a grandfather.

She has a daughter of her own that The Stylin’, profiling’, limousine ridin’, jet flyin’, kiss stealin’, wheelin’ n dealin’ son of a gun adores. And, who knows? If the young girl catches the pro-wrestling bug, we could have a third generation Flair in the WWE a couple of decades from now.

With Ric Flair’s already legendary status as a 16-time World Champion and Charlotte’s rising star, the young girl will certainly have a lot to live up to.

#4 Rikishi

The Usos’ father is the legendary Rikishi

A member of the famous Anoa’i family, Rikishi made a name for himself during the WWE’s Attitude Era as part of Too Cool along with Scotty Too Hotty and Grand Master Sexay. Wow, the Attitude Era was one hell of a weird time. His buttocks became so famous that the WWE inducted the big man into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.

On the personal side of things, the 51-year-old Rikishi is also a grandfather. He is, of course, famous for being the father of current WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Jimmy and Jay Uso but what a lot of people might not know is that he also has two other children and four grandchildren.

The long line of the Anoa’i family has certainly been extended by the large Samoan and these grandchildren may well become wrestlers as well, looking at the family heritage.

#3 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold had a failed marriage with Debra

That’s right, The Texas Rattlesnake is a granddaddy. Believe it or not, the most influential wrestler of the Attitude Era, Stone Cold Steve Austin, actually has a grandchild. Well, a small technicality, he is actually a step-grandfather.

Despite his status as one of the all-time greats inside the squared circle, Austin hasn’t had the greatest success when it comes to his marital life. He is currently on his fourth wife after three failed marriages, including one with former WWE Diva, Debra Marshall.

Despite this, Stone Cold has three children and one grandchild. This grandson is actually the son of his step-daughter and thus, the 52-year-old, WWE legend is a step-grandfather to a young boy.

One does have to wonder if the boy will look up to his grandad and look to become a wrestler despite Austin’s failed personal life through the years.

#2 Batista

The Animal is now a famous movie star

Didn’t expect that one, did you? That’s right, Dave Bautista is actually a grandfather. He may be more famous now as a movie star with the success of Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, but he will always be a professional wrestler first and foremost.

After all, The Animal did have an incredibly successful run in the WWE. First as a member of Evolution, and then with a single’s run that earned him multiple World Titles before he left for greener pastures.

Away from the ring, Batista has endured two failed marriages and is now on his third one. He also has two kids and his elder daughter is the one who has given him two grandchildren to cherish.

#1 Brock Lesnar

Lesnar and Sable have been married since 2006

Despite being just 39 years of age, Brock Lesnar is already a grandfather. Let that just sink in for a moment. Well, okay he’s a step-grandfather like Stone Cold but it’s still insane to think about because of Lesnar’s young age. Despite The Beast’s immense success – both in the WWE as well as the UFC – he is still a young man in the prime of his career.

The reason Brock is a grandfather is actually because of his wife, Sable, who has a daughter from before she and Lesnar were married back in 2006. It is this stepdaughter of Lesnar’s who has a child of her own, making Lesnar one of the youngest grandparents to have ever competed in the WWE.
