There is never a good time for a WWE superstar to suffer with an injury, but WrestleMania season is always the most heartbreaking time and over the years many stars have suffered injuries at this time of year which has forced to WWE to make WrestleMania plans without them.

Last year saw Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan forced out of WrestleMania 34 after Ambrose suffered a tricep tear and Jordan's neck injury was somewhat more serious than first hoped.

Injuries are something that happen in WWE all year long, but there are currently a number of high profile WWE superstars who are sidelined due to injury and could now miss WrestleMania if they aren't healed in time.

#5 Fandango

Fandango has been sidelined since the summer

Fandango hasn't been seen in WWE since the summer of 2018 when he suffered a torn labrum, an injury that has kept him sidelined over the past few months. The former NXT star has been forced to undergo shoulder surgery and was expected to make his return to the ring in time for The Royal Rumble last week, but this now isn't the case.

Fandango's partner Tyler Breeze hasn't been favoring very well on WWE TV without his Fashion Police partner and the fact that Fandango hasn't yet returned to WWE probably means that he won't have a storyline heading into WrestleMania.

This is the time when WWE works long and hard on storylines heading into the biggest event of the year and if Fandango and Breeze don't have a storyline then they could miss out on all the action and much like Finn Balor back in 2017, he could be forced to return the night after the biggest show of the year instead.

Ember Moon was last seen on WWE TV at Royal Rumble, where The War Goddess suffered an elbow injury which has since kept her off WWE TV. Moon herself revealed the news last week where she stated that she would require surgery to fix the problem and it's unknown how long this would keep her out of action.

Moon was originally prepared to be part of Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, but the former NXT Women's Champion will definitely miss the historic match which is set to take place in just a few weeks time. It is now unknown as to whether or not Moon's injury will keep her out of action until after WrestleMania since the severity of the injury hasn't yet been revealed and Moon doesn't have a storyline to come back to when she's recovered.

Akam and Rezar are former Raw Tag Team Champions as The Authors of Pain, but the former NXT star hasn't been seen on WWE TV over the past few weeks because he suffered a knee injury ahead of Royal Rumble.

Rezar has since been appearing on WWE TV without his longtime partner and as part of The Royal Rumble event, Rezar actually teamed with Scott Dawson in a tag team match, which was obviously a late decision since Akam wasn't available.

Akam's injury is reported to be keeping him sidelined now until after WrestleMania season, which means that the most Rezar can hope for at WrestleMania is inclusion in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal unless he is able to pick up a storyline or a partner that he can work within the coming months.

AJ Styles has only recently been sidelined and he is one star that many of the WWE Universe are worried about since his contract comes to an end in April and he is still yet to sign a new one.

Styles is a former WWE Champion and has been at the main event level of the company over the past few years, but he recently lost the title to Daniel Bryan and it was revealed this week that he was struggling with a hernia.

Roman Reigns was famously sidelined with a hernia back in 2014 when he was scheduled to face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions, which means that Styles recovery time is hard to predict, but The Phenomenal One won't want to be on the sidelines throughout the hottest part of the year so hopefully he will recover in time.

Seth Rollins won The Royal Rumble match last week and has already revealed that he will be challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. Rollins was reportedly injured before he won The Rumble, or entered a storyline with Brock Lesnar, but WWE has only recently been forced to give The Architect some time on the sidelines.

Rollins missed this week's episode of Raw and it's been reported today that he's expected to miss Elimination Chamber, but dependent on the severity of his back injury, Rollins could be back before the end of the month, or his WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar could be up in the air.

Rollins has missed WrestleMania before due to injury, so he's no stranger to being on the sidelines, but he will be hoping that WrestleMania 35 isn't another missing piece in his career.
