There isn't any better a way to garner heat towards a heel by having him retire one of the most popular faces of this generation.

Mahal is already quite hated for all the wrong reasons and it can be argued that the Modern Day Maharaja is not getting the 'right kind of heat' at the moment.

He is a superstar who is destined to be a heel most of the times, and by ending the career of the man who he beat to win his first WWE title would only raise his stock as one of the premier bad guys of the company.

We all know how it worked for Roman Reigns despite him not being a heel. Reigns' promo on the night after WrestleMania 33 matured him as a performer and the reactions he's been getting ever since -- irrespective of it being cheers or boos --- have helped the future Universal Champion in becoming a top guy.

Knowing Orton, he would certainly not want to go out on a loss against Mahal however beneficial it may be for the Modern Day Maharaja in the long run.

But there is one man who will prosper more than Mahal if he faces Orton in his swan song.....
