5 WWE Superstars Who Could Be Finn Balor's Mystery Partner On Monday Night Raw

Who will run riot with Balor?
Who will run riot with Balor?

Finn Balor's current state on Monday Night Raw is as propitious as it is daunting. Although he successfully outmatched Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush to win the Intercontinental Championship at the Elimination Chamber, The Extraordinary Irishman is now struggling to find his footing on the red brand.

Last week's edition of the longest weekly episodic television saw the former NXT Champion lose the Intercontinental gold to none other than Bobby Lashley.

Whilst The All-Mighty was benefited by a cheeky assistance from Lio Rush, Finn's unfortunate loss has left many on the internet wrestling community baffled.

Considering that The First-Ever Universal Champion is likely to retaliate tonight, WWE are now advertising a solid tag-team match between Finn Balor and a mystery opponent of his choosing against the forces of Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush.

It's understandable that Finn Balor would be out there in front of a hot Chicago crowd wanting to seek redemption, but it's an absolute disappointment that we might not see him go toe-to-toe with The Undertaker at this year's WrestleMania 35.

With a mystery man likely to progress the Intercontinental Championship narrative, one wonders who will come to Balor's aid three weeks away from the biggest wrestling promotional event of the year?

So, without further ado, let's dive deep and analyze the 5 biggest WWE Superstars who could be Finn Balor's mystery partner on Monday Night Raw.

#1 John Cena

John's a safe bet
John's a safe bet

It's a safe bet to think that WWE might be looking to bring John Cena back in front of a hot Allstate Arena to kick things off in the right gear for WrestleMania 35.

Judging by the recent rumors that are doing the rounds, The Cenation Leader is locked in to slug it out with Kurt Angle in the latter's farewell match at the Show of Shows.

With the visual extravaganza just 20 days away now, it would be idealistic if the 16-time World Champion goes 'all guns blazing' and makes his blockbuster return to the squared circle.

There's no denying that Cena's superheroic aura would certainly bring more eyes and rejuvenation to Finn Balor's current direction on the main roster.

We know that the Chicago crowd is as uncompromising as it gets, and if the company needs someone who could coerce them to react, it is the face that runs the place.

#2 Becky Lynch

Will Becky shock us all?
Will Becky shock us all?

At a time where WWE have been pretty consistent with their creative booking, Vince McMahon could very well use this opportunity to impel Becky Lynch to the top, yet again.

Since the company has acknowledged the idea of inter-gender wrestling, The Man's shocking inclusion as Balor's mystery partner would electrify the All State Arena and give more momentum to Lynch heading into the biggest match of her career.

After Ronda Rousey's controversial tirade last week, the former SmackDown Women's Champion would be looking to making a more titanic statement on her own show.

Imagine Becky teaming up with Balor and eventually going on to get the job done by dis-arming Lio Rush? It would be an incredible way to progress the narrative for WrestleMania and would keep the fans embarked on the 'Becky Lynch' bandwagon.

Considering that Becky Lynch has been using The Man's moniker ever since she snapped at SummerSlam, this would be the right time for the Irish to actually live up to the tag.

#3 Sami Zayn

Will Sami shock the world?
Will Sami shock the world?

One of the genuine reasons why Sami Zayn could be the most likely mystery partner on tonight's Raw is because of his disappointing history with Bobby Lashley.

The former NXT Champion was unfortunately sidelined from action whilst he was already engaged in a very distressing battle with the current Intercontinental Champion.

Since Finn Balor would be willing to have someone on his side tonight, this would be an appropriate time for Zayn to return back to the squared circle as a white-meat babyface.

While Sami's heel run was terrific at times, there's no denying that Zayn can very well establish himself as one of the natural babyfaces in the entire wrestling industry.

A return here for Zayn could somehow bring an element of resuscitation back in the Intercontinental Championship picture and could lead Balor, Lashley, and Zayn to a blockbuster showdown at the Showcase of the Immortals.

#4 Kevin Owens

Owens deserves to be on Raw
Owens deserves to be on Raw

In my humble opinion, stranger things have happened in the WWE recently, and if you see Kevin Owens' return to Monday Night Raw in splendid fashion tonight, don't be surprised.

The former Universal Champion returned to the squared circle recently and was immediately propelled to the main event scene on SmackDown Live, as he tussled it out in a jaw-dropping encounter against Daniel Bryan and Mustafa Ali for the WWE Championship.

Considering that Kofi Kingston is gradually finding his feet on the very top of the industry we so dearly love, Owens' is left without any significant direction on this unsettled Road to WrestleMania.

Since he also shares some relevant history with Bobby Lashley, it could make sense if he teams up with the First-Ever Universal Champion tonight and seeks redemption for Lashley's assaults.

Furthermore, his current babyface run would fit perfectly with someone like Finn Balor who is obviously Owens' best friend in real life.

#5 Braun Strowman

I won't be surprised
I won't be surprised

It's a damn shame that despite being one of the most over guys on WWE Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman's disposition has been reduced to nothing short of a comic act on the red brand.

The Monster Among Men is currently entangled in a silly storyline with the cast of 'Saturday Night Live' and while this could be leading them to a showdown at this year's WrestleMania, I won't be surprised if he comes to Finn's aid tonight.

Whilst it won't be shocking to see Strowman get the victory here for his team, it remains unknown whether the company would be willing to push Finn Balor for a marquee headlining match at this year's event.

It's understandable that The Monster Among Men shares some history with Bobby Lashley and after being dismantled by the forces of Mcintyre, Corbin, and Lashley, Strowman could be looking to seek redemption from The All-Mighty tonight.
