5 WWE Superstars who have never competed on a WrestleMania main show

Six Wres
The Usos have appeared on six WrestleMania kickoff shows

On the 27 February episode of WWE SmackDown Live, The Usos mentioned during a heated in-ring promo with The New Day that they have never competed on a WrestleMania main-show card.

Since their main-roster debut in May 2010, Jimmy & Jey have featured on six kickoff shows at WWE’s biggest event of the year but they have never made it onto the main pay-per-view.

With that in mind, we decided to do a bit of research to find out which other notable WWE Superstars have competed on the ‘Mania kickoff show but never on the main show itself.

We’ve opted to leave out Aiden English, Apollo, Chad Gable, Jason Jordan and Mojo Rawley because only one WrestleMania has taken place during their time on the main roster, so it’s not overly surprising that they haven’t been on the main card yet.

#5 Kalisto

Kalisto defeated Ryback at WrestleMania 32

Kalisto made his WWE debut in February 2015, teaming with Sin Cara to defeat Curtis Axel and Heath Slater on an episode of Main Event.

The Lucha Dragons went on to feature on Raw and SmackDown in the build to WrestleMania 31 that year but, for whatever reason, Kalisto wasn’t part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and didn’t feature on the card at all.

Since then, the former Cruiserweight champion has appeared in two WrestleMania matches – against Ryback at WM32 and in the Battle Royal at WM33 – but both took place on the kickoff show.

After being eliminated from the Cruiserweight Championship tournament, it looks like Kalisto will have to wait another year to appear on the ‘Mania main card.

#4 Neville

Neville defeated Austin Aries at WrestleMania 33

Neville is yet to return to WWE television after reportedly walking out before an episode of Raw in October 2017, but we include him in this list anyway because he’s still officially employed by the company.

“The King of the Cruiserweights” was due to appear in the main-show ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 32, only to miss the event entirely due to a fractured ankle.

The following year, he successfully defended his Cruiserweight title against Austin Aries in one of the best matches at WrestleMania 33. However, the match only took place on the kickoff show.

Recent reports from the Wrestling Observer suggest Neville is in talks about returning to WWE and he could make his long-awaited comeback in April.

#3 Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman's kickoff show days will soon be over

Braun Strowman debuted in WWE in August 2015 and was rumored to be facing The Undertaker in a featured match at WrestleMania 32 just eight months later.

That match never came to fruition, with Undertaker facing Shane McMahon and Strowman featuring in a promo segment between Bray Wyatt and The Rock instead.

Technically, that means “The Monster Among Men” has already featured on a WrestleMania main card, but we’re looking for people who haven’t competed on the main card – and Strowman still hasn’t.

His only other appearance on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” came at WrestleMania 33, where he only lasted a few minutes in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the kickoff show.

#2 Curt Hawkins

Curt H
Curt Hawkins debuted in WWE in 2007

Curt Hawkins made his WWE debut under the name Brian Major in 2007, teaming up with Zack Ryder (then known as Brett Major) on ECW and SmackDown throughout the year.

However, it wasn’t until 2011 that he finally made his WrestleMania debut, featuring in a kickoff show Battle Royal which was won by The Great Khali.

Since then, WWE’s serial loser has appeared on just one other WrestleMania card (another kickoff show Battle Royal in 2017) and he is yet to appear on the main show on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”.

#1 The Colons

Primo
Primo & Epico are always on the kickoff show

Primo Colon competed at seven WrestleMania events between 2009 and 2017, while Epico Colon has been involved at four WrestleManias since his debut on the show in 2012.

However, all of their combined 11 appearances have come on the kickoff show, with the duo even doing double-duty in 2015 by appearing in a kickoff show Tag Team title match as well as a Battle Royal.

The twins have been written off television recently due to Epico undergoing shoulder surgery, so it looks like they may not appear at WrestleMania 34 at all.
