5 WWE Superstars who should not win Money in the Bank this year

WrestleMania 35 is done and dusted, as we are heading on to a new beginning in the WWE Programming. The first big stop in the new business year for WWE would be the annual Money in the Bank PPV, which is scheduled to take place on May 19, 2019, at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

With this being the tenth edition of the PPV, WWE might be planning something huge for the event. This year would also mark the third Women's Money in the Bank match as we will find out who would guarantee himself/herself a future world title shot.

Many fans have already started predicting the winners for this year's contract. Names like Andrade, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn are at the top of people's prediction list. On the women's side, rumors are that WWE might give the briefcase to Sasha Banks.

Well, we still have almost a month for the PPV to go down as we currently don't even know who all will actually compete in the MITB matches. WrestleMania 35 saw a lot of fan-favorites winning. While that need not happen every time, but there are certain booking decisions that WWE should avoid at the upcoming MITB.

In this article, let's take a look at the 5 WWE Superstars who should not win the Money in the Bank this year.

#5 Charlotte

Charlotte was one of the three women to main event WM 35!

Charlotte Flair is no doubt one of the best women wrestlers in the world right now. Her in-ring skills, mic work, looks, and of course family lineage make her one of the top WWE Women superstars in the history.

But fans haven't been on her side for quite some time. No don't get me wrong, everyone loves Charlotte the wrestler, what many don't like is her getting the spotlight again and again. Recent examples of this are her getting added to the WrestleMania main-event out of nowhere, and her winning the SD Women's Championship from Asuka one week before WM 35.

She most probably will be a part of the Women's Money in the Bank match next month, but WWE should avoid giving her the briefcase. Vince, please don't uplift the already uplifted, give someone else the opportunity!

#4 Randy Orton

The Viper has a knack for winning big matches!

Randy Orton has reinvented his character in the past year or so, as he has got back to the vicious heel character of his. Fans have loved this change, as the intensity that Randy brings to his feuds has been amazing, but him winning the contract is something many won't be happy with.

Orton has a knack for winning big matches, as we have seen time and again. With two top faces being the World champions currently, there is a huge chance that a heel might be the MITB winner this year. Even though Randy cashing in on Rollins or Kofi might be interesting, it's time to build the future, not show-off the past!

#3 Alexa Bliss

Last year, Alexa Bliss shocked everyone by becoming the second ever Miss Money in the Bank. More shocking was her cashing in the contract merely a few hours after her victory and walking out as the RAW Women's Champion.

Fans do love Alexa, but another MITB victory for her won't be a popular idea. She already is a five-time Women's Champion (3 RAW and 2 SmackDown), and she doesn't really need yet another victory this year. Sorry goddess, but not this time!

#2 Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin arguably had the biggest match of his career at WM 35, as he went on to defeat the Hall of Famer Kurt Angle in his retirement match.

While this victory sure gives Corbin a lot of momentum heading into his next big match, but him winning the contract won't be something fans would get invested to see. Corbin won Money in the Bank a couple of years ago, only to end up as only the 3rd superstar in history to unsuccessfully cash in his MITB contract.

There are many better heels than him currently in the roster who deserve to win the contract much more than him.

#1 Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns was arguably one of the most hated characters in WWE before he left in October last year due to an unfortunate disease.

Ever since coming back to WWE a couple of months ago, fans haven't treated him the way they used to before he left. A huge reason for that is the man defeated cancer to make a comeback and that's something the fans respect, and hence they cheer him.

But one has to wonder how long will they be on his side if Vince starts to play the "Push Roman to the top" game again. His superman booking was a huge reason why fans didn't like him before, and if WWE again pushes him down fans throat, the same would happen.

He winning the Money in the Bank contract would mean pushing him straight to the title picture. There's no way fans would cheer Reigns defeating Kofi Kingston to end his dream run with the WWE Title. The only way this is acceptable is if WWE turns him into a full-blown heel, something I don't see happening either.
