#2. Big E - Lost to Apollo Crews at WrestleMania 37

Big E lost the Intercontinental Championship to Apollo Crews at WrestleMania. He was protected, as Dabba Katto (now known as Commander Azeez) interfered and helped Apollo Crews win.
While Big E lost his first WrestleMania match as a singles star, he will benefit in the long run far more than Apollo Crews. When Big E was split from The New Day in the WWE Draft last year, it became clear that his singles path to main event superstardom was only beginning.
WWE has no plans for these former AEW wrestlers? Here's why!
Paul Heyman told Big E on Talking Smack that his singles career could overshadow his run with The New Day, similar to how Roman Reigns' singles success overshadowed his run with The Shield.
Big E was protected in his Intercontinental Championship defeat, and that may simply have been a way to get the title off him before he takes the next big step. While 2021 might be too soon to push Big E into the main event picture, it seems like an inevitability.
