WrestleMania 37 is merely days away from us. While it will once again be a two-night event this year, WWE seems to have plans to extend the party even more. As announced, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will return this year. However, it will take place on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 37 rather than at the PPV itself, like previously.
The decision was a little surprising for fans who expected this match to take place at WrestleMania 37. Nonetheless, WWE has also announced a list of 22 participants who will be competing in this year's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
This is a great opportunity for one of these superstars to get their names into the history book and possibly improve their status on the current roster.

#5 Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE SmackDown)
Former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura arrived on the main roster in 2017 and was booked very strongly in his first year, even winning the 2018 men's Royal Rumble match. However, he lost the WWE Championship match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34 and his momentum has never been the same since.
While Shinsuke Nakamura has won quite a few singles and tag team titles on SmackDown, fans still want to see him get a major singles push and a possible world title reign. WWE did hint at giving him a push earlier this year when he picked up a string of impressive victories in major matches but that didn't last long.
Shinsuke Nakamura heads into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as one of the favorites. This would be his first appearance in the history of this match and the King of Strong Style could win it all and use this opportunity to enter the world title scene post-WrestleMania 37.
#4 Mustafa Ali (WWE RAW)
It was at WWE Fastlane 2021 where RETRIBUTION members had enough and turned on their leader Mustafa Ali. While Reckoning and SlapJack walked away, T-BAR and Mace went on to deliver a double chokeslam to Ali, officially kicking him out of the faction.
It is safe to say that RETRIBUTION didn't really work as a faction and it is for the best that Mustafa Ali is no longer a part of it. He is yet another major name who could win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and get his WWE career back on track.
Someone of the caliber of Ali should at least be in the mid-card title picture, if not above that.
#3 Ricochet (WWE RAW)
Ricochet is arguably one of the best athletes on the current WWE roster. The things he can do inside the ring are sometimes unbelievable. However, due to a lack of opportunities and proper character building, Ricochet's main roster run hasn't been as good as his time in NXT.
This year will mark his first appearance in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the One and Only will want to make the best use of this opportunity. While his style of wrestling is completely opposite to that of the late WWE Hall of Famer, Ricochet deserves a chance to shine.
#2 Murphy (WWE SmackDown)
WWE SmackDown Superstar Murphy had a decently successful 2020. The former Cruiserweight Champion joined hands with the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins and the two won the RAW Tag Team titles.
Murphy played a massive role in Seth Rollins' rivalry against Rey Mysterio but later turned babyface and joined hands with the Mysterio family. WWE also started a romantic angle between him and Aalyah Mysterio.
However, after picking up a victory over Seth Rollins, Murphy disappeared from WWE TV for months. Upon his return, he surprisingly once again approached Rollins and the entire Mysterio family storyline was scrapped.
While his return in that manner made little to no sense, WWE might continue his push from last year by having him win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown this week.
#1 Cedric Alexander (WWE RAW)
Former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander's main roster career looked to be in jeopardy last year. However, things turned around completely for him when MVP recruited him into The Hurt Business. Alongside Shelton Benjamin, he won the RAW Tag Team Championship and had a dominating run with the faction.
However, this past week on Monday Night RAW, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley kicked him and Benjamin out of The Hurt Business. This has raised questions as to what this will mean for the future of Cedric Alexander.
If WWE was impressed by his time in The Hurt Business, he could be given a proper singles push, and that could start with his winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this year.
