Everybody likes to win, right?
Being able to say you're better than your opponents, you've worked harder, trained more, and are more deserving of the big prize.
And in the WWE, this is no different, as the men and women of the shows attempt to prove why they deserve to be champions.
But for some superstars, winning is a lot more difficult to achieve than losing, and in what has been a year of shocking debuts, surprising upsets, and emotional goodbyes, some superstars have just kept on piling up huge losses, one after another.
Here are the five WWE Superstars with the best win/loss records of this year, both on WWE TV, and at Live Events.
Note: For this list, we will only be including main roster superstars only, and those who are still employed by the company.
#5 Epico Colon (Loss record: 93.3 percent)
Despite being a former WWE Tag Team Champion, Primo's biggest success in his wrestling life may be that he signed with the WWE in 2010, and is still there today.
Despite being barely used on TV, Primo has been a staple of Live events, almost always losing over the years, and this trend only continued in 2018.
Appearing in a total of 15 matches, Epico won just one match in 2018, giving him a total loss record of 93.3 percent for the year.
Whilst Epico will be hoping to improve on this in 2019, don't expect much, as the WWE have clearly given up on the Colons, in favour of teams such as the New Day, the Usos, and the Bar.
At least he can say he's better than his cousin.
#4 Primo Colon (Loss record: 94.1 percent)
When Primo Colon joined the company in 2007, it was clear that he was destined to be a tag-team star.
First teaming up with his older brother Carlito, with the pair becoming the first Unified Tag Team Champions, Primo would later team with his cousin Epico in 2011, a team that continues to this day.
But despite being a tag star, Primo competed in more than double the matches his cousin did, and after winning two of his 34 matches, finishes 2018 with a losing record of 94.1 percent.
It does seem baffling that Primo would feature in so many matches without his cousin, as the duo have been practically inseparable since teaming together, whether as Los Matadores or as the equally bizarre time-share con men, a gimmick that fortunately ended not long after it started.
#3 Sonya Deville (Loss record: 94.9 percent)
Appearing on the 2015 edition of Tough Enough, things seemed promising for Daria Berenato.
A legit fighter with MMA experience, Berenato made headlines when she came out during the reality show, becoming the first openly lesbian performer in WWE.
But ever since she debuted as Sonya Deville, things haven't been good for the Jersey Devil, with 2018 seeing her win just 4, of her 78 matches, leaving her on a losing record of 94.9 percent.
This is particularly a real shame, as in an era where women's wrestling is at an all-time peak, Deville could be one of their biggest stars if the company gives her the chance.
With the Women's Tag Team Championships finally being officially announced, hopefully, Deville will be able to turn things around in 2019.
#2 Ariya Daivari (Losing record: 96.3 percent)
Joining the WWE as part of the company's 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, Ariya Daivari, was eliminated in the first round by Ho Ho Lun, in what was in hindsight clearly a sign of things to come.
In 2018, Daivari won just one of his 27 matches, giving him a total loss record of 96.3 percent.
The highlight of his year (if you can call it a highlight) came at the company's Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, where Ariya got to appear with his brother and former superstar, Shawn Daivari, berating the Saudi Arabian crowd, but was handily beaten by four Saudi prospects looking to join the WWE.
Daivari couldn't even win being the worst of the worst in 2018, though that accolade goes to one very special superstar...
#1 Curt Hawkins (Loss record: 100 percent)
If you can't be known for being the best, at least you can be known for being the worst.
That's right, Curt Hawkins tops this list, after competing in a total 45 matches in 2018, and losing every single one of them.
Whilst this is obviously not great, the avid toy collector has turned this into his gimmick, with speculation now surrounding who the former tag champion will defeat to break this record.
Perhaps he will finally get that big win in 2019, maybe over a local competitor, or perhaps even over someone established.
Who knows, maybe Hawkins will shock the world, and defeat RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, breaking not one, but two streaks at the same time!
Yeah, we don't exactly see that one happening either.
