He went on to win the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship, his first ever title. In the following six months, he dropped and recovered his title twice. While at the promotion, Epico developed an intense feud with Ray Gonzalez which revolved around the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship. Prior to signing with WWE in 2010, he won the Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship again. In his final days with the company, he also won the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship. During his stint with WWC, Epico also turned out for Pro Wrestling Zero1, which is based in Japan.
