Some in the WWE Universe consider John Cena to be the greatest WWE Superstar of all time. There are not many professional wrestlers in WWE who have sustained success for as long as John Cena has. This success has continued outside of wrestling in recent years as Cena has begun to transition from a WWE Superstar into becoming one of the biggest actors in Hollywood.

During John Cena's WWE career, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion competed in five seperate WrestleMania main event matches.

John Cena's first WrestleMania main event came at WrestleMania 22 in front of a polarized Chicago, Illinois crowd where he defeated Triple H to retain the WWE Championship via submission.

Other WWE WrestleMania main event matches for John Cena include Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 23, The Miz at WrestleMania 27 and The Rock at WrestleMania 28 in 2012.

John Cena's final WrestleMania main event came at WrestleMania 29 inside MetLife Stadium in 2013. In the final match of the evening, John Cena squared off against The Rock in a rematch of the WrestleMania 28 main event. After Cena had lost their previous encounter, the leader of the Cenation was able to overcome The Great One and win the WWE Championship in the process.
