Chelsea Green made her name as the character Laurel Van Ness in Impact Wrestling. She initially started out as a character similar to what she is using in NXT. Van Ness was rich and got whatever she wanted thanks to her family's fortune. At one point, she wanted to marry Braxton Sutter but he declined the chance.

It was that rejection that spurned Van Ness to come out in a torn wedding dress and smeared makeup. She would cackle and scream every now and then but was still a good worker between the ropes. Pulling off a "crazy" character is hard, but Green proved that she could do it before she got to WWE.

I know that she's working as the focal point of the Robert Stone Brand and that's perfectly fine. The only problem is that it's not really any different than Charlotte Flair, Vanessa Borne, Aliyah, and other arrogant female personas in WWE. They all think that they are better than everyone with some even thinking so because of how they look. If there weren't other similar heels, then Green would have a great opportunity to stand out and move up the card.

If she switched things up to a variation of her "Hot Mess Van Ness" character from Impact, it could do wonders for her. She has already shown that she can pull it off and that she's willing to take risks to improve. Joining the Firefly Fun House would do both of those things for her.
