The frustrating run of Jason Jordan ended this week as he squared off against the Intercontinental champion, Roman Reigns. Jordan was definitely the underdog going into the match but Kurt Angle's "son" displayed his true potential in the opening match of the night.

Let’s take a look at the brownie points which the youngster has earned from his encounter against The Big Dog.

#1 His aggression

Years ago, Kurt Angle was the poster boy as WWE promoted its theme, “Ruthless Aggression”. Today, his son is no less than his father when it comes to this particular emotion.

Jason Jordan not only accepted Reigns’ open challenge for the Intercontinental championship but was also particularly vocal about Reigns being the poster boy for WWE management. He also issued a challenge to Samoa Joe as well, which took everyone by surprise.

Jordan has shown his hunger for big matches, and we would love to see him in such high-calibre matches in near future.

#2 His Strength

Jordan showcased his strength against The Big Dog

Jordan delivered a Belly-to-Belly suplex to Reigns, forcing the Intercontinental Champion to accept the match. He also ran multiple times across the ring, pole to pole, with Reigns on his shoulders, thrashing him into the turnbuckles.

Moments, later he caught Reigns midair and rammed him into the steel steps. Whatever Jordan said before the match was truly backed up by his actions in the ring. He brought the fight to The Big Dog. It was undoubtedly a good opening segment for the young lad.

#3 His agility

During the match, Jordan ducked to negate a superman punch from Roman Reigns. As he ducked, Reigns was seen punching the air, a rare sight for the master of the Superman punch.

Strength and agility go hand in hand with a wrestler in the long run. It's great that Jordan displayed a fair share of both.

In our analysis after last week’s Raw, we expressed our concerns for Jason Jordan over his future storylines. However, with the possession of the above two qualities along with his aggression, Jordan is destined to be part of better storylines.

#4 His resiliency

Jordan's determination got better of his pain.

Jordan was forced to call quits the last two weeks due to his injured knee. Not to mention, his knee cost him his place on Team RAW for the Survivor Series elimination match as well.

However, he was determined not to allow his injury from becoming a roadblock once again.

During the match, Reigns caught Jordan in a submission manoeuvre. However, the gold-blooded superstar dug deep and crawled his way to the ropes, forcing Reigns to break the hold.

We would love to see Jordan develop a submission move of his own in the future.

#5 His technique

Jordan hit two back-to-back northern lights suplexes

During the match, Jordan tried to gain a pinfall victory over Reigns in quite a unique way. He delivered two northern lights suplexes to the champion and rolled him over for a near-fall.

Notably, Kurt Angle is known as one of the best technical wrestlers alive. Jason Jordan is showing shades of being the same. WWE definitely gave this angle thought before promoting Jason as the son of the Olympic gold medalist.

Brock Lesnar has made German Suplex as his forte. Jordan seems to be doing same with the Belly-to-Belly Suplex.

#6 He is set for next week

Samoa Joe tried to get a piece of Roman Reigns as he attacked him after the match. However, Jason Jordan took an exception and delivered a suplex to Samoa Joe.

This will help Jason establish himself as a Babyface. Further, he was attacked by Samoa Joe confirming their match on next week’s Raw.

With the abilities that Jason Jordan has displayed this week, he surely has raised the bar for himself. He must keep up to ensure a successful in the future.
