On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, we saw Alexa Bliss unveil the Women's Tag Team Championships during her talk show known as A Moment of Bliss.

Also, during that segment Alexa Bliss informed the WWE Universe that the first ever women's tag team champions will be crowned at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view after 3 teams from RAW and 3 teams from SmackDown Live battle it out inside the unforgiving Elimination Chamber.

The tag team championships have been revealed, and it seems like the qualification matches for the Elimination Chamber match may commence after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

So without further ado, lets look at the 6 tag teams which may most likely participate in this match.

#1 Sasha Banks and Bayley (RAW)

The Boss 'n' Hug Connection are the favourites to win the titles
The Boss 'n' Hug Connection are the favourites to win the titles

This tag team is one of the prime reasons why the championships were introduced in the first place, and so they will undoubtedly be a part of this Elimination Chamber match. Sasha Banks and Bayley were also a part of the last year's EC match which took place for the RAW Women's Championship, and so WWE may use the 'experience' element in kayfabe to hype up this team.

As far as the Royal Rumble PPV is concerned, Sasha Banks is scheduled to face Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women's Championship, but we all know that WWE has some big plans for Ronda, and the Boss is just there because she has not faced the Baddest Woman on the Planet yet.

Also, Bayley who is in the Royal Rumble match is not the favourite to win that, and once the Royal Rumble PPV ends we will see Sasha and Bayley focus on the tag team titles.

#2 Tamina Snuka and Nia Jax (RAW)

Nia Jax and Tamina will be the dark horses of this match

WWE is yet to give a name to this tag team, but over the past few weeks, we have seen Tamina Snuka and Nia Jax compete in several tag team matches. So it is obvious that the WWE sees them as a tag team, and they would love to establish them as one of the top women's tag teams.

Nia Jax and Tamina would be revealed as the 2nd team from RAW as they have huge physical strength, and both female superstars are working hard to improve their in-ring performance.

In the future, they can be the monster heels of the division, and the Elimination Chamber match will serve as the right platform for Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka. Though they are not the favourites to win the tag titles, they will surely be the dark horses of this match.

#3 Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan w/Liv Morgan (RAW)

The Riott Squad will be allowed to compete under the Freebird rule
The Riott Squad will be allowed to compete under the Freebird rule

The Riott Squad made their main roster debut way back in November 2017, and Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, & Liv Morgan are yet to establish themselves as credible superstars of the female division. The key problem is their booking has been in the 50/50 nature of the WWE Creative.

WWE Creative books them to win some matches just to lose the same number of matches in the coming weeks. The Riott Squad has 3 members, but under the tag team championship match rule - only two members would be allowed to compete inside the chamber.

In my opinion, Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan will step up for the Riott Squad, because Liv Morgan has been booked as the weakest part of this team.

Also, Corey Graves has stated on commentary that the Riott Squad would be allowed to compete under the 'Freebird' rule. So, it will be interesting to see how WWE books the Riott Squad in this division.

#4 Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville (SmackDown Live)

There are only 2 female tag teams on the blue brand
There are only 2 female tag teams on the blue brand

While Monday Night RAW has plenty of tag teams to choose from, the same cannot be said of the blue brand, which has a lot of singles superstars in the female division. There are only 2 established tag teams on that brand, and one of them is the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

The duo had debuted as a part of Paige's faction known as 'Absolution', but that faction was disintegrated soon due to Paige's injury. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have failed to make a mark on the blue brand as a tag team, but the duo would surely be a part of the inaugural women's tag team championship match.

Also, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were a part of last year's Elimination Chamber match, and so they might be booked as SmackDown's strongest contenders for the titles.

#5 The IIconics (SmackDown Live)

The Australian tag team had won their first ever PPV match 3 months ago at WWE Super Show-Down

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have been on the SmackDown Live roster since April 2018, but the only remarkable thing they have done since then was helping Carmella win the SD Live Women's Championship.

The Australian duo have been booked like jobbers since then, and they had even failed to qualify for the SD Live women's team for Survivor Series last year. As I mentioned earlier, SmackDown has only 2 established tag teams, and the second name on that list was of the IIconics.

Though this female tag team has negligible chances of winning the tag team championships, they will surely be in the match to make up the numbers.

#6 The Bella Twins (SmackDown Live)

Nikki Bella and Brie Bella for women's tag team champions, anyone?
Nikki Bella and Brie Bella for women's tag team champions, anyone?

Whenever WWE does a first in the women's division, they want the Bellas to be a part of it. We saw them take part in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match, the first ever WWE pay-per-view in Australia, and the Bellas also were a part of the main event of the first ever all women's pay-per-view, WWE Evolution.

With no more prominent tag teams on SmackDown Live, it would be better if WWE recall the Bellas for a match, rather than forming a random tag team of 2 female talents.

Nikki and Brie could make their emphatic return in the Royal Rumble match, and after failing to win that match, WWE can book them to be on the Land of Opportunity - SmackDown Live, where they could defeat a randomly put together tag team and secure their place in the Elimination Chamber match.
