6 reasons why now is the right time to call Asuka up to the main roster

Is the ‘Empress of Tomorrow’ ready for the next chapter in her career?

#2 She has nothing left to accomplish in NXT

Asuka has broken all sorts of records during her WWE tenure

It’s been well publicised in recent weeks that Asuka has been breaking records left, right and centre with her coinciding Championship reign and undefeated streak.

Asuka recently surpassed Goldberg’s historic 173-match undefeated streak, as well as CM Punk’s WWE Championship reign of 434 days. She is comfortably the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion having already dwarfed Paige’s 308-day reign and by the time NXT’s next special event comes around (NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III on August 19th), she will have eclipsed both The New Day’s 483-day Tag Team title reign and become the longest reigning Women’s Champion of the post-Moolah era.

So besides staying in NXT for years and years to break Fabulous Moolah’s record, what is there left for Asuka to achieve in NXT?

She is now 35 years old and I would much prefer to see WWE capitalise on what a special talent they have in Asuka and introduce her to a wider audience sooner rather than later.
