The former leader of the Yes Movement, Daniel Bryan is heading into Wrestlemania 35 as the WWE Champion. His Wrestlemania track record has gotten better with time. Although he came up short of grabbing victories at Wrestlemania 27 and 28, Bryan was able to turn things around the following year when he, along with Kane, retained the Tag Team Titles against the team of Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston (now just Big E).

Wrestlemania 30 has got to be the best night of Bryan's career. The American Dragon defeated Triple H in the main show's opener. He then went on to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by tapping out Batista in the triple threat main event, which also involved Randy Orton. At Wrestlemania 31, Bryan defeated 6 other Superstars in a ladder match to win the Intercontinental Championship. However, Bryan's concussions and injuries caught up with him eventually and he had to retire from in-ring action.

Fast forward to the Wrestlemania 34 season, Bryan announced that he was cleared to compete. At the event, the team of Shane McMahon and the returning Daniel Bryan defeated Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to oust them from Smackdown Live.
