The WWE Championship rests on Kofi Kingston’s shoulders at the moment as the Jamaican successfully defended it against Dolph Ziggler at WWE’s Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia. The New Day member prevailed over Dolph Ziggler in what was a pretty entertaining bout.
Kofi Kingston has been on a heroic run and his victory at WrestleMania 35 was nothing less than astonishing where he defeated Daniel Bryan to become the new WWE Champion.
Post Mania, Kofi went into a feud with Kevin Owens and the two were set to indulge in a rivalry for much longer but due to Kevin’s absence from Saudi Arabia event due to personal reasons, WWE had to rope in Dolph Ziggler for the title match in Jeddah.
Things have been quite mixed up in the WWE title picture for some weeks and it seems like things will stabilise now that the Saudi Arabia event has concluded.
