#4. A New Day but no new Champions

And still!
And still!

The opening match of the night saw The New Day defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championship against three teams - The Forgotten Sons, The Miz & John Morrison, and The Lucha House Party.

The New Day were on a two-week skid, having first lost to The Forgotten Sons and then losing to them again when they teamed up with the Lucha House Party. The odds weren't in their favor for this match, but as we've come to know, The New Day are no strangers to adversity.

They used their experience to get through all their opponents and pick up the win at the end to retain the titles. However, what confused us was the fact that Jaxson Ryker got ejected when it was a No DQ match.

The match didn't deliver as expected in the opening show, but perhaps that may have been different with a live audience. Either way, The New Day's reign is in jeopardy if Otis decides to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase on the tag team titles.
