The Inaugural NXT North American Title match involved Velveteen Dream, EC3, debuting Ricochet, Lars Sullivan, Killian Dain, and Adam Cole in a Ladder match at Takeover New Orleans. As always in WWE, the ladder match delivered and the six superstars had an entertaining match with a lot of high-risk spots. Ricochet made a memorable WWE debut in this match and he was one of the standout performers from the match. Adam Cole outsmarted the 5 other superstars and emerged victorious in the fight.

Most intense Rivalry of this decade

The best rivalry in the history of NXT has produced three classic matches at NXT take over events till now but the one at Takeover New Orleans remains the best match of their series. It was a complete package as it included pure wrestling, masterly storytelling and had an excellent finish where Gargano finally triumphed to reclaim his position on NXT roster. There other two matches are also excellent but could not overcome their first encounter. It is also one of the best matches in the history of NXT.
