Erick Rowan could be sidelined for up to eight months

Erick Rowan's tricep injury came at the worst possible time for him since The Bludgeon Brothers had already jumped through so many hoops to become SmackDown Tag Team Champions but they were then forced to drop their titles to The New Day a few weeks ago on SmackDown Live after the injury was revealed.

Rowan tore his tricep in the match against The New Day at SummerSlam and has since been forced to undergo surgery which will keep him sidelined for 6-8 months. Harper has been sent back down to NXT for a number of live events since WWE doesn't want to push him without Rowan.
