The Rumble is all about the numbers, or sometimes, the numbers game...

Over the past year, a lot of history has been made in the women's division of the WWE. From Hell In A Cell to Money In The Bank, there were a lot of firsts for these women, and another one happened this past Sunday when there was the first-ever all-women's Royal Rumble Match.

The Women's Revolution doesn't stop there as Stephanie McMahon announced this week on Monday Night Raw that the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber Match will take place at the WWE's next pay per view on February 25th.

When it comes to the first-ever women's Royal Rumble Match, you can say without a doubt that it was a complete success. The match was executed extremely well and was full of great surprises.

As always when you talk about the Royal Rumble Match, it's all about the numbers. This article is going to look at seven key numbers from this historic Royal Rumble from the number of WWE Hall Of Famers who participated to which woman became the first Ironman of the match.

Lets first take a look at a number not to be celebrated, the shortest time spent in the match...

57 - the least amount of time (in seconds) spent in the Royal Rumble Match

One of the great surprise returns of the women's Royal Rumble Match was that of Vickie Guerrero. She is the widow of the late great Eddie Guerrero, and she's best known for her role as General Manager on Raw from 2008 to 2011 and SmackDown from 2011 to 2013. She also managed some of pro wrestling's best including Edge and Dolph Ziggler.

Considering that Vickie is not a professional wrestler, she wasn't expected to do much in the match, but she does get the honor of the shortest time in the Rumble at 57 seconds. It's probably not a record that will stand for that long, but with the contributions that Vickie made to the WWE, it was great to see her included in this match.

When Stephanie McMahon announced that the first-ever women's Royal Rumble would take place this year, one of the points driven home was the fact that they would not have any special rules. All of the rules in place for the men would be in the place for the women, including the number of entrants and having to go over the top rope with both feet touching the floor to be eliminated.

With that said, it was great to see that the WWE gave the women the time needed to put together a great Rumble and not rush things. The official time for the first women's Royal Rumble was 58:57. In comparison, the men's match went just a few minutes longer at 65:27.

When excluded the champions and injured WWE Superstars, there were only 18 announced entrants for the Royal Rumble match. That left a lot of room for several surprise returns, and of those surprises, four of them were WWE Hall Of Famers.

Lita entered the Royal Rumble at #5 and was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2014. Jacqueline entered the match at #21 and was inducted into the HOF in 2016. Beth Phoenix entered the match at #24 and was inducted into the HOF just last year in 2017. Finally, Trish Stratus entered the match at #30 and was inducted into the HOF in 2013.

Of these four women, Lita lasted the longest in the match at 5:51, but Trish had the most eliminations with three.

15 - The number of former WWE Women's Champions who were in the Royal Rumble Match

There was a great mix of legends, veterans, and newer talent in the Royal Rumble Match. With that mix, there was an even split of 15 women who have been women's champion in the WWE and 15 women who haven't held the top women's prize in the business.

The following women have won the women's championship within the WWE: Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Lita, Molly Holly, Michelle McCool, Nattie, Kelly Kelly, Naomi, Jacqueline, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Nikki & Brie Bella, Bayley, and Trish Stratus.

Of those who have yet to win gold in the WWE, there is a couple of women that seemed destined to do so in 2018 such as Asuka, Nia Jax, and "Miss Money In The Bank" Carmella.

54:46 - an impressive time for the first Ironman of the Women's Royal Rumble

One of the most popular statistics in the Royal Rumble match is the ironman of that particular contest. In 2006, Rey Mysterio broke Chris Benoit's record by lasting 62:12 in a single Rumble match. Over the 31 total men's Royal Rumble matches, six men have lasted over an hour with Chris Jericho being the last one to do it in 2017.

Sasha Banks wasn't just the first Ironman in women's Royal Rumble Match history, she did it with an impressive number of 54:46. If you stacked that time up with the men's Royal Rumble history, it would rank 11th all-time in a match that has had 930 wrestlers compete in.

It was nearly seven years since Michelle McCool competed in a WWE ring...

When it comes to picking the woman who would have the most eliminations in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble Match, there are some names that immediately come to mind like Nia Jax or Becky Lynch, but it was a returning WWE Superstar who would take the first title of most eliminations.

Making her first in-ring performance since 2011, Michelle McCool came out with the most eliminations when she threw a total of five women out of the match. She would single-handedly eliminate four women in a row (Sonya Deville, Liv Morgan, Molly Holly, and Lana) before the group effort of eliminating Vickie Guerrero.

With this great performance, you have to wonder if one more run with the WWE is on the horizon.

29 women proved they were not ready for Asuka...

Everyone remembers the first winner of the men's Royal Rumble Match in 1988 ("Hacksaw" Jim Duggan), and some even remember which number he entered the match (13). Asuka will forever be remembered in pro wrestling history as the first person to win the women's Royal Rumble match, and she did it after entering the Rumble at #25.

On her way to victory, Asuka threw out three other women, including Nikki Bella last to seal the win. Many expect she'll challenge the winner of the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber Match at WrestleMania.

For comparison's sake, only one man has won the Royal Rumble Match from the 25th entry, and it was Hulk Hogan in 1990.
