#2 Drew McIntyre was The Chosen One thanks to his undefeated steak in WWE
Drew McIntyre is on top of WWE in his current stint and has been doing a great job at keeping things alive in the pandemic era. McIntyre’s victory at WrestleMania 36 helped him get to the top of the ladder and finally fulfill the prophecy.
The Scottish Warrior was predicted to succeed in WWE during his initial stint in the company. He was dubbed the “Chose One’ by Vince McMahon in 2009 and was seen as a future World Champion early in his career.
After a short appearance in WWE early on, McIntyre debuted on SmackDown in August 2009 as a heel. He got into a rivalry against R-Truth and went on an undefeated streak from there.
By October 2009, McIntyre had become WWE Intercontinental Champion, and the sky appeared to be the limit for the Scottish Superstar. McIntyre’s first televised singles loss came in late February 2010 against Kane. However, Mr. McMahon later forced SmackDown's GM, Teddy Long, to expunge the loss.
Another loss at the hands of Matt Hardy met the same fate, before he finally took his first official loss at the hands of The Undertaker in March 2010. Before the Undertaker bout, McIntyre technically had a undefeated streak lasting almost six months during which he picked up over a dozen singles victories.
The Scottish Warrior enjoyed another undefeated streak starting in November 2019. McIntyre continued to pick up wins before winning the 2020 Royal Rumble. He then defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 in his biggest win yet.
It wasn't until October 2020 that McIntyre lost his first singles match against Randy Orton at Hell In A Cell. McIntyre had gone undefeated for almost an entire year by this point.
