World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) can, at times, be compared to a circus act. The areas that they travel too all over the world are their big tops and the larger than life wrestlers are the attraction of the show. Every circus also has its gallery of freaks and the WWE is no different, with strange wrestlers coming and going on WWE programming for many years now.

In order to be a fan of professional wrestling, one must suspend his disbelief while watching matches or following storylines. When WWE writes up storylines, they occasionally have to create a strange character that throws fans for a loop. Some are successful and some are just plain creepy. The creepiest WWE wrestlers have a place in WWE history and some have even gone on to extra success because of their creepiness alone. Here is a look at some of the creepiest wrestlers in WWE history.

#7 Mankind

Wrestlers are known for showboating, entering the ring and doing a pose, usually showcasing muscles, like Shawn Michaels or Triple H, but former WWE superstar Mick Foley's Mankind stood out from the stereotype when he entered the ring, huddled in the corner, and began clawing at his hair.

This masked wrestler seemed to enjoy pain, as the wrestler the Undertaker in several violent matches, including a Hell in A Cell match, where he was not only thrown off the top but put right through the top of the cell and onto the ring below. Then the character took a turn towards the comedy route, wearing a sock on his hand, and spouting phrases like "Have a Nice Day!" He even had a 70s alter-ego known as Dude Love.

#6 Boogeyman

Quite possibly the creepiest wrestler ever!

One of the oldest childhood myths is that of the Boogeyman, usually popping out from closets or underneath beds, but WWE brought him to life and created this strange character. He features a smoking staff stick, various different paint masks on his face, carries a clock that he smashes against his face, and even eats earthworms and feeds them to his opponents.

He has been entertaining crowds for a couple of years now, and even though his ring skills are rarely seen, he still excites audiences. The creep feuded with Booker T, JBL, and even had an encounter with Donald Trump. One of his best feuds was with Finlay where a midget form of the Boogeyman made his debut.
